Summer Fitness and Health
Be prepared for swimsuit season with these workout and recipe tips!
1. Workout-Exercising is one of the most effective ways to being healthy and looking great. I started exercising on a regular basis in like 9th grade. (Then I stopped for two years!) But then, I started again this past January. It wasn't exactly because I wanted to. It was because I had to.
I was home schooled(online school) this past school year, and one of my electives for the second semester was P.E. Well, since I couldn't go to P.E. class everyday like in a regular school, we had to exercise for 30 minutes everyday, except on weekends. This was a way to show the P.E. teacher that we were staying fit. Of course this was based on the honor code(The teacher couldn't see us, so how would she know if we were actually exercising?), so I exercised for 30 minutes everyday. (Honesty is the key!)
I honestly thought that once school let out for summer break, I would be too lazy to exercise everyday for 30 minutes. At first, I would only exercise for 10 or 15 minutes, but now, I've started working out for 30 minutes a day(except on weekends). Being healthy and fit is a great feeling, and it honestly makes me proud of myself. So here is my workout routine:
1. Stretching(5 mins): This is just the basic "touching your toes" and stretching your back.
2. Dance(10 mins): I go On Demand on the t.v, go to Sports and Fitness, then choose Dance. There are a lot of cool dance routines in this category. I recommend Kendra Kemerley's dance routines!
3. "Intense Exercise"(5 mins): The "intense exercise" is a workout that's designed to target your back, stomach, legs, arms, or shoulders. I usually target my thighs, so I do exercises like squats or lunges.
4. Sit ups and Push ups(5 mins): I have to admit, push ups sit ups are really hard for me, so the tip is to start with 5, then 10, then 15, and so on.
5. Stretching(5 mins): These are just the same stretches as the ones in the beginning.
So there is my work out routine! I'm going to try and upload the healthy recipe tomorrow. The health(recipe) part of my blog was suppose to go up with the fitness part, but I had trouble uploading it. But if not tomorrow, it will definitely be uploaded this week, and I will still upload a blog on Friday too.
