A Short Break from Blogging

Hey Everyone!
I know, I know, I said I wouldn't do this again, that I wouldn't not upload anything - but this is technically something, right?
Jk, I know this isn't the content I post regularly, but I just wanna say I'm sorry again.
I think I need a break from blogging...
???
Don't be alarmed, at all! I'll be back soon. I really just need to reevaluate my life because some days I feel so overwhelmed with schoolwork and other stuff, and "conveniently" those are the days when I'm supposed to upload a post on my blog. I want to feel the same way I felt when I started blogging almost 2 years ago. I wanna feel like blogging isn't a heavy weight, and I wanna feel inspired again (I'm not saying that blogging is a heavy weight. It's just because I don't feel inspired that it seems that way.)
I also think that my blog design and layout really discouraged me. I've been trying to re-design my blog since the summer, but I didn't really get to finish it.
I just think I need the right resources to design my blog and the desire to blog (and not to mention I definitely need to organize myself!) before I get back into it again, because that doesn't just effect me, it effects you guys too, and as much as I try to, I don't feel like I've been giving as much as I can to blogging.
So, I just wanna say sorry for that last week of not posting, and it might be 2 weeks or 2 months, but I'll be back very soon, in full force, and ready to give it my all!

Until then,
I love you guys!
P.S. I'm still gonna be on social media (hello, Pinterest!) and looking at other blogs for inspiration too, so you can find me there!
Also, if you have cool, original blog post ideas that you would like to see once I've reorganized and updated my blogging life, be sure to leave a comment telling me!
Thank you!

Another Update???

Hey Everyone!
I know, I know. I said I wouldn't not post on my regular blogging days, but this is technically a post, right?
Jk, I know it's not my regular blog post.
I'm, by no means, making excuses, but the thing is, I'm in the process of making a big decision about something very important to me, something I'm very passionate about. It's nothing bad, it's just a really important decision, but I'll give you an update sometime this weekend, so look out for that!

Thank You!

The Best of 2014 :)

Hi there! Long time no see!
Well, it's only been just over a week since my last real blog post. But, I'm really really really really really really really (15 hours later*) really really really sorry! I don't think I've not posted anything for that long since I started blogging, and for that, I'm so sorry, you guys!
I just really have to learn how to balance my schoolwork and my social life and my bloggy, and I'm currently working on that, so hopefully, this whole not-posting-for-over-a-week won't happen again!
But onto today's post: I know I'm 17 days late, but I really wanted to do one of those Best of 2014 posts! I'm not trying to be like the cliched blogger, but so many exciting and life-changing things happened last year, and while I posted many of them here on my blog, there were some that I didn't include here. So, let's get started!

January
I actually didn't take any pictures in January...none at all...idk why. AND, I hardly remember anything that happened last January. I'm weird...

February

Snowmageddon! Snow and ice was everywhere. The roads were cramped. School was canceled for almost a week, twice! And we didn't have school on Valentine's Day, which was great for me, and all the Valentine-less people who didn't want to see all the happy high school couples... (sorry, that was mean...)
My Dad's birthday s actually the day before Valentine's day. We had been snowed in for a few days by then, and we weren't able to get to the store, so we had to DIY his gifts!

March
Winterfest: Winterfest was such an amazing event! The speakers were great, and it was just great seeing so many young people coming together and worshiping God! Plus, I had so much fun hanging out with my youth group in Tennessee! It was a really fun experience!

April
I reached 100 posts on my blog! I celebrated by uploading like 5 posts that day! It was kinda extreme, but I was excited about it!

And, we can't forget Easter! I absolutely love celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

May
I graduated from high school! My diploma was totally upside down, but let's not talk about that. Lol!

This is probably one of my favorite family pictures of all time! Too bad Max had to stay at home, and couldn't be in the picture!

June
Beyoutiful Beauties' 1st Birthday!

and...
My 18th Birthday!!!!!!!!

July
We went to the beach! It was a fun weekend getaway!

August

I started college!

September
My first college football game!

October
We have a Fall Festival at my Church every year, so that's always fun!

November
I changed up my hair, and got highlights!

December
Christmas: Christmas was so much fun!  I got to spend it with relatives from both sides of my family, as well as my immediate family, and friends!

And, I got on the Dean's List!

At first, I was just gonna show you a bunch of pictures from throughout last year. While I did that, I also wanted to talk about why exactly I posted it. This post is called The Best of 2014 because I wanted to show some of the exciting things that happened in my life in 2014. But that doesn't mean I didn't have regrets and disappointments. I'm definitely not trying to hide those things from you guys. I've actually talked about some of them here on my blog. But uploading a post about all of those regrets and disappointments, would be pretty negative and pointless. So, instead, I wanted to show you all of the good things that happened to me in 2014 because I see that as seeing the cup as half full. Even though things didn't go exactly the way I wanted them to go in 2014, it's still good to be grateful for the good things!

Thanks for reading, and thank you for your support and sweet comments and just everything!

Update!

Hi!
First of all, I just want to say I'm really sorry that I didn't upload a post yesterday AND that I didn't make up for it by uploading one today either. I've been so busy with schoolwork, and while I did have time to type up the post I had planned for yesterday, I wasn't able to make a cool graphic for it.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to have the post up by tomorrow, but I really hope I'll be able to. And if not tomorrow, since I have another post planned out for Friday, I'll probably just wait until next week to post the one I had planned for yesterday!

Thank You!

15 Bible Verses to Keep in Mind in 2015

Happy Fridayyy!!!!!!!!
I feel like the week kinda went by quickly considering school is back in session, but at the same time, I feel like it was kinda slow. Oh, well. It's Friday now!
I really like posting things on my blog that have to do with the new year, because I just really think it's great to start fresh, or continue your journey with even greater passion than the year before! So, today, I want to share some Bible verses with you. These verses are essential verses that you should keep in mind as much as you can. So without further ado, here are 15 Bible Verses to Keep in Mind in 2015!

P.S. There'a actually more than 15 Bible verses, but there's 15 points, and for some of the points I included more than 1 Bible verse to correspond with them. Hehe...

1. DON'T LIVE LIKE THE WORLD:
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will."
Romans 12:2

2. BE GRATEFUL/THANKFUL:
"16 Be joyful always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

3. LOVE OTHERS:
"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4. DON'T WORSHIP IN VAIN:
"8 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
Matthew 15:8-9

5. WORK HARD:
"Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth."
Proverbs 10:4

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
Colossians 3:23

6. BE A LIGHT TO THE WORLD:
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven."
Matthew 5:16

7. LOVE YOURSELF:
"I praise You because I am thankfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:14

8. DON'T JUDGE:
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"
Luke 6:41

9. BE HUMBLE:
"3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, consider other better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." Jesus humbled himself by coming to earth and being nailed to the cross to take away our sins, so we should be humble too.
Philippians 1: 3-7

10. ASK, SEEK, KNOCK:
"7 Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks the door will be opened."
Matthew 7:7-8

11. PRAISE THE LORD:
"1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. 5 For the Lord is good, and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."
Psalm 100

12. DON'T BE ANXIOUS:
"25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Matthew 6:25-27

"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4: 6-7

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

13. FORGIVE:
"14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
Matthew 6:14-15

14. HAVE FAITH:
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
Hebrews 11:1

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26

15. LOVE GOD WITH EVERYTHING IN YOU:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." (and all your mind too! Luke 10:27 has that part)
Deuteronomy 6:5

So, those are just a few verses that you should definitely stick in your pretty heads to help you through this year!
If you have any other Bible verses that I didn't include, please be sure to leave them in the comments so we can all see!
Thank You!

Winter Essentials

Hey!!!!!!!
So, I know I usually upload on Tuesdays and Fridays, but I started school on Monday, and it has been so busy for me. The classes I'm taking this semester seem a lot more complex than the classes I took last semester, so I really hope I'll have time for stuff other than schoolwork!
I had planned on uploading this post yesterday, but I had quite a bit of homework (already?!?), and by the time I finished making the graphic for this post, it was like 11:30, and I really needed to sleep, so, that's what happened...
Anyway, winter officially began on December 21. Although it wasn't too cold during Christmas break where I live, once I got back to school this past Sunday, I experienced winter at its fullest. It was really chilly on Monday and Tuesday, but today it was a serious kinda chilly. It was freezing! And to add to that, the wind was crazy heavy which made it feel even colder (My school even sent out a mass email saying that it might get as low as single digit temperatures this week!). With all the talk of colder weather aka the lowest they've seen since last January, I knew it was time to post some of my Winter Essentials.

1. Flannels: Flannels are great to wear during the winter, especially the over-sized ones because you can wear 3 layers of clothing underneath and no one would know! I've really been liking the look of the boyish ones because they're just so rustic and cool; but, don't get me wrong, I still like the pink, girly ones ( I even bought one this Christmas break!).

2. Hats: I didn't really wear hats, like beanie hats until I got to college. It started getting really cold in November, and because my hair is very fine, the cold felt like it was seeping through my scalp and into my brain (lol), so I had to wear hats. It's not that I don't like beanies, I just always thought it would look weird over my short hair, so I didn't bother. But, once I actually wore it, it didn't look too bad!

3. Gloves: You don't want your hands to freeze and fall off, do ya? I didn't think so! I need to start asking myself that question because I've really been slacking off on my glove-wearing. I don't even know why (today, it was actually because my gloves are pink and black, but I was wearing light blue sneakers, so yeah. We can't have that.)

4. Leg warmers: Great for keeping your feet warm because even when you have on boots, if it's really cold, you'll need those extra warm cushions that are leg warmers. I don't have leg warmers, but my Dad's socks kinda double as leg warmers for me, but I got to school Sunday night, and realized that I had left every. single. pair of them. at. home...

5. Chunky boots: I say chunky boots because I feel like they are more suited for cold weather, rain, snow, etc. than combat boots and/or riding boots. I feel like chunky boots can sorta handle the cold weather better, especially if snow is involved. And, I'm not really nervous about messing up my chunky boots because they're so rugged and tough.

6. Blanket: I'm currently covering myself with a blanket because the air in my dorm room is on. You're probably sitting there wondering, "Why in the world would she have the air on when she just spoke about how cold it is outside?"
Well, thank you for asking. I have to have it on because I'd rather have it cold than hot, and I also have to have it on because there has to be noise in order for me to sleep. Even at home, I always have the fan on when I'm going to sleep because of the noise. But anyway, blankets are great if you're like me, and you like it to be cold, but you like to be cozied up too, ya feel?

7. Teddy Bear: they're great cuddle buddies when your dog is being uncooperative

8. A good book: for when you're snuggling with your teddy bear!

9. Netflix: no explanation needed

10. Hot chocolate: To keep you even warmer. Hot water should also do the trick.

What are your Winter Essentials? Comment! I'd love to know!

Thank You!

#Goalsfor2015

Heyyy Beauts!!!!!!
It's the new year, and with the new year comes new years "resolutions." But, I don't really like the phrase "New Years Resolutions." You know why?  Because we don't seem to keep them. I prefer terms like goals, or not-so-new-years-resolutions, or maybe even promises (this would be an especially good name for people who don't like breaking promises!).
So, today, I wanna share with you some of my #goals for 2015. I used #goals because I see this hashtag all over Twitter: #relationshipgoals #housegoals #cargoals, etc., and sometimes it gets really annoying, tbh.
Like, I know they're all good goals, but you have to work for a a good relationship, and a good house and good car. I feel like those hashtags make people feel like they can have those goals without really working for them. I don't know if ya feel, but it's just my opinion, ya know?
So, these are just some of the things that I know I have to work for, and that I hope I will have accomplished by the end of next year (or sooner)!

Read on to see more of my goals for 2015!

~Listen in Church more (lol!), and apply the lessons to my everyday life

~Be able to give more (aka steady income): I feel like it's easy asking my parents for money to give for tithe, offering, people in need, etc., but that really doesn't effect me as much as if it's my own money, ya know?)

~Give more willingly

~Read more books for leisure

~Learn how to play an instrument (the recorder doesn't count! Lol)

~Be more grateful

~Post better pics on the bloggy (I think it's time for me to invest in a nice camera)

~More collaborations, beauty routines, and giveaways also on the bloggy

And my motto this year:
~Don't let good times pass you by without having a good time!

So, what are your #Goalsfor2015?
Let me know in the comments!

Thank You!
