What's In My Lunchbag + How to Pack a Healthy Lunch

Hey Everyone! Today I'm going to show you what I pack in my lunchbag, as well as how to pack a good, but healthy lunch. School lunch isn't exactly bad(it's improved over the years!), but I like taking my own lunch to school because I can monitor what I'm eating in terms of fruits and the likes. So, let's get started! 
 
 
What I Pack For Lunch
 
1. Sandwich- made with butter(Smart Balance), sliced cheddar cheese, and turkey on honey wheat bread
 
2. Fruit- green grapes(my favorite!)
 
3. Snack- NutriGrain Bar: strawberry
(I don't usually finish everything, but it's better to take more and finish it later, than taking less and having to hear your stomach grumble in algebra class!)
 
How to Pack a Healthy Lunch
Bread: Whether you're having a sandwich, a sub, or a bagel, it's always the healthiest choice to use whole wheat OR honey wheat bread.
 
Condiments: When using butter, I recommend using one with 0g of trans fat and no hydrogenated oils, like Smart Balance butter. Chemicals are most likely added to processed foods to preserve it, so using hams and cheeses that are unprocessed are better because they're fresh.
 
Snacks: I recommend taking one fruit(or maybe a fruit salad), and then a little treat for yourself(Poptarts,Oreos, and the likes). This really balances out your lunch.
 
Drink: I drink water for lunch because my water bottle is already in my backpack anyway, and the little pouch of Caprisun just isn't enough. When looking for juices, choose one that has some amount of fruits(or veggies) per serving. Every once in a while, you can treat yourself to a can of soda from the vending machine,but don't make it an everyday habit!
(If you get lunch at school, I'm not saying that you should grill the cafeteria cooks about whether or not the meat in your cheeseburger is processed or not. Just make sure you're making healthy food choices.)
