Winterfest 2014: My Experience

Hey Everyone! It's Fridayyyyyyyy!!!!!!! So, here's why I didn't post anything for a while: I went to Winterfest 2014!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome! If you don't know what Winterfest is, it's a Christian Youth event held in Knoxville, Tennessee every year. I went with my Church's Youth Group, Collide Youth, and it was seriously so much fun. So, here's My Winterfest 2014 Experience!

This is the view from our cabin window.

This is my cabin room. I shared it with four other girls. We had bunk beds and a flat screen t.v! We actually left for Tennessee a day before Winterfest started so we could settled down. We went to a really nice mall before we went to the cabins, and I bought Chick-Fil-A, which I rarely buy so, yeah.(random) So this was the first day, and I was just sitting on my top bunk watching The Middle.

This was the second day in Tennessee, and we went to Tanger Outlets. This picture was taken when we were passing by Dollywood. It's an upside down building!

This was the third day in Tennessee. We went to a this rocky river, and it was soooooo beautiful! We also had a devotional here, where people shared testimonies.

Now on to Winterfest 2014. Three words: It. Was. Awesome. I had so much fun! On the first night, we got some awesome praise and worship from The Planet Shakers(If you're looking for a fun song to jam out to, listen to "Put your hands up" by the Planet Shakers!) Also, Rich Wilkerson Jr, a pastor from Miami preached to us. It was really funny, entertaining, and eye-opening. His message was "God Did It", and he talked about how God works in our lives.

On the second night, we got a surprise visit from John Luke and Sadie Robertson from Duck Dynasty! They talked about how God has worked and is working in their lives, and it was so cool to see two famous teenagers on fire for Christ like they are. We also heard a preaching from Pastor Kevin Wallace called "Out of the Box". We also sang praise and worship with Jason Crabb and his sisters.

The third and last day of Winterfest 2014 was actually Sunday morning, so it was basically a regular Sunday morning service. Reggie Dabbs preached on a topic called "Step through the Door". He also played the saxophone to the song "Our God". The Lee University drama ministry ministered to the song I'm the Man, by Aloe Blacc, and we were referring to God being The Man. Get it? It was so cool!

Winterfest 2014 was such a fun experience, and it really opened my eyes to a lot.
