Weekly Update

Hey Everyone!!!!!!! I know that in last week's What's Up Update (That name sounds kinda lame. Any suggestions?) I said I don't take pictures a lot, but I thought about it, and since I enjoyed taking pictures and doing this post last week, I decided to do another one this week too!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. My 4th of July American Flag pic (isn't the flag beautyyy-ful?)

2. YouVersion: In last week's update, I told you that I'd been looking through a devotional plan to start. Well, I started this 4-day devotional called How To Pray, and even though it was 4-days long, and shorter than the other devotionals I've done on YouVersion, it was probably the one that effected me the most. It taught me a lot of things about prayer that I didn't know, and there was a video everyday called The Life of Tyler, where it just talked about a 12-year old boy who was learning about prayer and what it is. Even though it was about a 12-year old boy (and the majority of you reading this aren't 12-year old boys), I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a closer and stronger relationship with God!

3. Our July 4th lunch/dinner: Okay, so I probably ate more hamburgers and hot dogs than I should have (jk...hehe), but it was yummy. The watermelon was great too, and as you can see in the picture, my Dad kind of burned the corn-on-the cob, but it was still delicious, and for some reason it tasted better the next day!
Oh, and I would like to thank Kraft Barbecue Sauce for making my day a little more better than it already was. But seriously, this stuff is the bomb.com (That just happened.)!

I thought that I would dress up, but then I decided that honestly,  I really didn't feel like it. So, I just wore a red and blue shirt, and pants with white on them aka my pajamas, but my little sister did dress up, so...

My little sister looking cute and whatnot decked out in red, white, and blue!

4. Verse of the Week: I really like this song because my Mom used to have a daycare, and she ordered this DVD called God Rocks. It was a group of 4 people, 1 lady and 3 men, and they would basically just come up with songs based on Bible verses. My Mom's daycare kids loved the songs and they would watch it everyday, so all of the songs have stuck with me since then. I love it when the pastor uses one of the memory verses from God Rocks, and my big sister and I look at each other and smile, because we remember the songs. In God Rocks, they usually used the NIV version, so the song went like this, "Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you, in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
This verse means that no matter what, you should rejoice in every situation, because, although you may not understand yet, that's part of God's will for your life.

5. Exercise (or, lack thereof): So, I really feel like I've been slacking on my exercise routine...I don't even have an exercise routine anymore. I thought that once summer came around, I would have more time and energy to exercise, but no. I even posted my Summer Fitness Routine towards the end of May, and look at me. Sitting around on the computer all day, eating junk food (I've kind of been improving on that.), living life...
I'll make a deal with you, well, not really a deal, a promise: I'll exercise everyday, excluding Sunday, for at least 10 minutes. I know 10 minutes doesn't sound like a big deal, but considering how little I've been exercising lately, it is a big deal!
If you feel in your heart (hehe) that I haven't exercised that day, tweet me and ask, "Itunu, have you exercised today?". That will definitely remind me to exercise!
Now, this whole exercising thing is only gonna help me, that is, of course, unless YOU join along with me. Yeah, I'm talking to YOU.
We're gonna get the summer bodies that we won't before the summer is over! Who's with me?!?!?... Yeah, me neither. (Just kidding!)
P.S. This so-called "promise" is only meant for the summer, because once school starts, well, hehe, no.
"Ain't nobody got time for that."

Look at that clock! You would have to do a math problem just to know what time it is!
Um, how about...no?

6. Dorm Room Ideas: So, if you've been reading my blog some, you probably already know that I just graduated from high school, and I start college in the fall. Well, it will still be summer, but it just sounds better to say "in the fall". School starts for me next month, and I haven't done any dorm shopping. Nothing. Nada. Zippo. It's not that I haven't thought about it yet. It's just that I haven't been un-lazy (what?) enough to get up and say to my Mom, "Mom" (I call her Mommy!) "Can we go to Bed Bath and Beyond or something?"
I mean, I have been looking online, but I just haven't looked in the stores yet. The procrastination is real.
At the moment, my favorite colors are mint blue, white and gold, so I've put some thought into it, and I think that those are the main colors that I want to use to decorate my dorm room. So, I put together this little collage on Polyvore! To find out details and pricing of each item in the collage, click here!

7. Shout-out Time: Lastly, for this week's update, I would like to give a shout out to a fellow blogger, Cathleen at Classy Cathleen for giving me a shout out on her blog! She's super nice and her style is so cute, so you should go and check out her blog! Thank You Cathleen, for featuring me as your Blogger of the Week!!!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed this week's update! I really enjoy doing these updates, so I'll probably do one next week too!
Thank You!
Stay True, Be You
