Itunu's Declassified School Survival Guide #5: Makeup

Hey Everyone! How are you beautiful people doing on this loverly (yes, I mean lovely, but loverly sounds cooler) Saturday?
So, I wasn't sure exactly how many posts I should have in my Back-to-School Series, but there are still some things we have to discuss!
Like beauty (hair + makeup + nails)! Hello? How could I have forgotten that?!?
So, today, I'm gonna give you tips on how to rock your first day (and if you've already had your first day of school, then how to rock the rest of the school year!)!

The key to makeup wearing is not to overdo it! You don't wanna look like a drag queen do you?
You can still "Slaaaay queen!", but at least look like yourself.

"Go natural, babe. Don't look like a crayon raped your face."
-Harry Styles

Well said, Harry Styles, well said.

1. Concealer: I actually saw this in one of Bethany Mota's favorites videos. You mix the shades together to get your "perfect" shade!

2. BB Cream and/or Foundation: You don't have to choose one or the other. I personally wouldn't wear both BB cream and foundation to school because I just feel that it's too much.

3. Eyeshadow: I would say go with the natural beige-y, champagne-y colors just to make the look natural, and not overdone. Now, if you're thinking about the smokey eye, then go ahead and rock it! (I can't really give you any tips on accomplishing the smokey eye, as whenever I attempt it, I end up looking similar to that of a raccoon.)

4. Eyeliner: I used to apply eyeliner to my waterline, but now, I don't really think it's necessary because you can just put mascara on your lower lashes. Where you do want to apply eyeliner is on your eyelids. (Again,I can't give you any tips on the famous "cat eye" because I've been a "cat eye" beginner for like a year...I really need to try harder.)

5. Mascara: For long, pretty lashes!

6. Eyebrow pencil/kit: This is a really great thing that I've recently added to my makeup routine, because it just makes your whole face (well, not really, but ya know.). I just feel like you don't have to wear tons of makeup when your eyebrows are "on point".

7. Lip balm: If you wear a tinted lip color, please make sure it actually moisturizes your lips!

8. Blush: You can use blush to make your makeup look even more girly!

I'm actually gonna break the beauty part of my back-to-school series into 2 posts, so be sure to check back on Monday (irregular blogging schedule!) for the hair and nail part!

Thank You!
